Volunteer
- Awareness - help us raise awareness for the impoverished in semi-arid regions or more specifically in BurkinaFaso. You can help us by distributing VI publications or simply by telling others what you have learned from these materials.
- Fundraising - help us raise support for our Projects by telling potential donors about VI. Familiarize them with WhoWeAre and Projects. Remember: potential donors may include not only your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors, but also your employer.
- Advisory Council Member - if you have any knowledge or expertise in areas related to development work, commit to becoming an advisory council member. We are interested in those with experience in finance, fundraising, project management, agriculture, appropriate technology, cross-culture, policies and procedures, document review, and publishing. See our Advisory Council Overview for more details.
- Board Member - consider volunteering on our Board of Directors. We are always considering new board members either for immediate installment or for the next term. This is an opportunity to greatly influence who we work with, where we work, and how we work to alleviate poverty in countries around the world.
You can request most of the information mentioned above in paper form by clicking

Stay Connected
Keep up-to-date with VI's current and future work through our
Trash.MainNewsletters and more importantly by email directly with
OurStaff, especially those in the field.
OurStaff in the field will often be in very remote areas. They need your continuous emotional and spiritual support to keep healthy and hopeful.
Internships
Apply to be an intern with VI in the field. We anticipate hiring two interns by the end of 2007 (see project
BF0602). These are unpaid interships for either undergrad or postgrad positions. For this project, a strong background in linguistics especially French, community or international development, biology, agronomy, environmental science, nursing, and/or nutrition is preferred. However, arrangements involving other disciplines would be considered depending on funding and project oversight. If you are considering an internship for credit, please talk to your educational institution or professor about this opportunity. Feel free to email us at
info@verbree.org for any questions you might have.
